Materials You Should Have To Complete This Quilt
This quilt will require 8 yards of background fabric along with the other fabrics you will use for the applique
And:
• A sewing machine that has a blanket stitch, blind hem stitch or zig zag stitch
• An open-toe applique foot and an open-toe darning foot
• Fusible web – Annie recommends SoftFuse brand
• Thread – either to match your background fabric, or thread to match your applique fabrics
• If you choose to match the applique, you will need one bobbin for each thread color and a bobbin holder to keep them organized
• A self-threading needle
• Schmetz Microtex 80/12 sewing machine needles
• A pencil with an eraser and cutwork scissors

This block of the month class takes you from beginning to end on each project. When you log in, you will have the instruction you need to complete each project, each month, immediately! No waiting. The instructions for each block will remain online until the end of each month.
Registration and Access to Materials
Sign-up each month for individual lessons or subscribe to automatic monthly payments for uninterrupted access through the entire class.** Either way, within 24 hours of your monthly registration, you will receive a class login and password to access all of the documents, videos, and other online instruction for the month-long session.
**If you already own the pattern set, you can also subscribe to automatic monthly registration at a reduced cost.
The West Of Baltimore Block Of The Month Class runs for 13 months. You can work on your project anytime you want during the month. At the end of the class, you should have your quilt top complete and ready for quilting.
Your Computer and Internet Connection Are Key!
Quilting Stash Classroom is compatible with any standard computer Internet browsers such as Internet Explorer, Safari, and Firefox. Use a Mac or a PC, it doesn't matter. If you have watched video on your computer before, you should already be set-up to view the videos produced for our classes.
You should have a fast Internet connection such as DSL or cable modem access. Dial-up modem access is not fast enough to view these large video files without frustration.
Before signing-up for the class, view the introduction videos and make sure they work well on your computer. Refunds will not be given to students who cannot view the video due to download speed problems.
Questions and Answers
Q: Does the registration fee include fabric and other supplies?
A: No, it includes only the access to the video instruction, web-based notes, templates, and teacher email and online chat as a part of the class. You provide the fabric, materials, and effort.
Q:How long will it take to complete the quilt top?
A: Based on our experience, provided you do the homework each month, you will be able to have a complete quilt top in 13 months. Remember, this is just like taking a class in a store except YOU choose when you will attend each month.
Remember, you can access the workshop from your computer anywhere you have a fast Internet connection at any time for each lesson.
Q: What if I have trouble understanding a demonstration and get stuck?
A: You can work directly with me in three ways:
1) send me an email explaining your question about the block
2) visit with me during a scheduled workshop chat and seek help there
3) post a comment online for that lesson and I will answer your question.
Q: I'm not very good with the computer. How much about the computer must I know before taking this class?
A: If you can browse the Internet, you have all the skills you need. You will need to be able to enter a login name and a password to access the lesson materials. That's it!
